Hammer Crushers — Principle of Operation

Hammer crushers crush stone using hammers fixed to a rotor. The size of the output product can be adjusted by varying the rotor speed, the number, shape, and arrangement of the hammers, and the distance between the hammers and the grate.

Hammer crushers cannot process materials with moisture content exceeding 5-7%, as wet material clogs the grates. If the grates are removed, the hammer crusher can work with wet material, but the size of the crushed product will increase.

Hammer crushers are well-suited for brittle, soft, and low-abrasive materials such as gypsum, chalk, rock salt, coal, brick, refractory waste, nitrate, limestone, alum, and similar.

Two Configurations of the DM Crusher — Standard and Explosion-Proof

The hammers and grates of the DM crusher from the Kanmash factory are made of manganese steel 110Г13Л. To prevent clogging, the grates are installed at a 45° angle. The crusher is simple in design and energy efficient.

The DM hammer crusher is supplied separately and as part of the following assemblies:

• Crushing unit UD (includes hammer crusher, support frame, service platforms);
• Loading and crushing unit UZD (includes feeder, hammer crusher, support frame, service platforms);
• Crushing and sorting unit UDS (includes hammer crusher, screen, support frame, service platforms).

The DM hammer crusher is available in two configurations, standard and explosion-proof.
