The Eighth United International Exhibition of Mining and Road Industries of the Republic of Karelia "Karelian Stone. Roads of Karelia" took place in Petrozavodsk on December 4-5, 2014, during the VI Congress of Miners. More than 60 enterprises from Russia and abroad participated in the exhibition.
The exhibition was located on the edge of Lake Onega, in the "Kaleidoscope" exhibition complex on the Varkaus embankment. Shiny glossy excavators, new loaders, and bulldozers, heavy trucks – where else can you see this equipment fresh, washed, and polished?
The exhibition featured samples of materials extracted by mining enterprises, as well as equipment for efficient work in the road and mining industries. Participants discussed current problems and prospects of the mining industry.
More than 60 enterprises from Russia and other countries participated in the exhibition: Finland, USA, Sweden, and Italy. Among them were well-known companies such as "John Deere Forestry", "Zeppelin Rusland", official dealer of road construction equipment "Volvo", "LIEBHERR-RUSSIA", "Ferronordic Machines", "Sinmachine", "Tieluiska" and others. "Drobmash" took a prominent place in this row. "Drobmash" and "Rudprom" presented a wide range of mobile and stationary crushing and sorting equipment at the exhibition. Our equipment was highly appreciated by colleagues from the mining and road industries.
In his opening speech, Deputy Head of Karelia for Infrastructure Development Oleg Telnov welcomed all those gathered in the exhibition hall on behalf of and on behalf of the head of the region, Alexander Khudilainen. He also noted the great potential for the development of the mining industry in the republic. The industry has already increased production by one and a half times and has all the prerequisites for its further development to go with increasing, systematic, and steady growth of indicators. The emotional, unconventional speech pleased the audience. Especially since the speech was informative and brief: crisis or no crisis, money will be there. "I wish the exhibition participants fruitful work, successful negotiations, and contract signing," Oleg Telnov concluded, which caused a storm of applause.
Mining is one of the basic industries of Karelia. Oleg Vladimirovich outlined the main directions of its development and the current problems it faces. He noted that next year additional Road Fund resources will appear in the budgets of regions and republics. This means that money for road repair and construction will be found. Interest was evident on the listeners' faces. The fact that materials and equipment for road repair and construction, widely represented at the exhibition, will be in demand is good news. We presented both the standard line of manufactured equipment and new Russian-German developments in the field of mobile crushing and sorting equipment.
The two-day exhibition was intense, as there were no random people among the many visitors. Here were gathered representatives of companies from the mining and road industries interested in cooperation. The official representatives of the Republic of Karelia also paid attention to "Drobmash". Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic of Karelia Irina Ushakova-Kudryashova, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology Viktor Chikalyuk, Deputy Head for Infrastructure Development Oleg Telnov, Executive Director of Rudprom Alexander Weiner. Representatives of LLC "Rudprom" told interested parties about the standard product line, about the new products of "Drobmash", about interesting design solutions. Visitors did not hurry to leave our stand. Next-generation equipment, which no one else in Russia produces, invariably attracts specialists. After all, DROBMSH-Posch mobile and combined units, real crushing and sorting plants on crawler wheels, are efficient and reliable.
