In February the Rudprom team undertook a business trip to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to evaluate the potential of the crushing-and-screening equipment (CSE) market and to establish partnerships for a local presence. The programme included an intensive schedule of talks with distributors of mining machinery and specialised investors interested in modernising existing operations and launching new projects.
Over the course of a week we visited more than ten quarries where limestone—the region’s main sedimentary rock—and granite are predominantly mined. On site we closely examined the operating crushing and screening circuits, discussed bottlenecks in the production chains with the owners and proposed Rudprom solutions to boost efficiency.
At the same time we held a series of strategically important negotiations: we discussed distribution options, after-sales service and the creation of a domestic spare-parts warehouse. The culmination of the trip was a preliminary agreement to establish a joint venture that will speed up deliveries of Russian CSE and provide full technical support to local customers.
We have already drawn up a roadmap for bringing Rudprom products to the Saudi market—from equipment certification and staff training to participation in key industry exhibitions. We are convinced that expanding cooperation with the KSA will open up extensive export prospects in the next two to three years.
